Detroit Edison Academy

We are aware that during the holidays there can be a high frequency of grief, sadness and stress. We were glad to donate teddy bears to the Detroit Edison Academy for a Mental Health Week project. It was a great success and the bears will serve as support bears for the students who struggle with social and emotional learning in their school environment. During the project, the Behavior Specialists at the Academy covered topics on suicide, bullying, threats, being nice, using unice words and being kind to others. We are glad that the teddy bears were an integral part of this project and will help the students develop the self -awareness, self-control and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work and life success.
