The Mapleton School Leads with Kindness
Through the Leading with Kindness Program, students from the Mapleton School in Brooklyn brought joy and connection to PS164 in a truly heartwarming way. The Mapleton students decorated teddy bear t-shirts and wrote personalized notecards to accompany hand-delivered gifts of teddy bears, cookies, and friendship bracelets they made.
As part of the visit, they also shared a meaningful story about embracing differences, reading aloud to PS 164 students and playing with toys together that bridged gaps and formed new friendships. This kindness project highlighted the power of understanding, empathy, and collaboration, teaching students how small acts of kindness can build lasting bonds.
