NEST+m School Leading with Kindness Project

Words cannot express what an amazing group of students there is at NEST+m school in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Their willingness to get up early, make generous donation of food, and participate in our Leading With Kindness project was inspirational. The abundance of compassion and love in the room made this an event to remember.

In total, about 50 students arrived at 7:15 am to give back, which is truly remarkable. They decorated teddy bear t-shirts, laughed, and created cards, all while the room was full of kindness and warmth. The bears were sent to the Pennsylvania Center for Adapted Sports’s Ski Program at Camelback Mountain in the Poconos. The adaptive ski program teaches children and adults with physical or mental disabilities to ski.
