Leading with Kindness Club Visits Spruce Street School

Leading with Kindness Club students from Birch Wathen Lenox and Stuyvesant High School recently took their mission of compassion to the next level! They kicked off this BEAR-y special day by decorating teddy bear t-shirts and notecards before heading down to Spruce Street School for a heartwarming visit. The Spruce Street School is a District 75 School which provides highly specialized instructional support for students with significant challenges.  There, they hand-delivered the bears to young students and led an inspiring presentation on what kindness truly means. But the giving didn’t stop there! With extra teddy bears, notecards, and supplies in hand, they encouraged Spruce Street students to pay it forward, letting them experience the joy of both receiving and giving. The kindness on display was truly star-worthy—so much so that CBS News captured the magic for their upcoming National Teddy Day segment!
