Valley Chabad- Friendship Circle: Chanukah!

Valley Chabad Friendship Circle organized a wonderful Chanukah event December 13, for seniors at the Jewish Home Assisted Living in River Vale! Children with special needs visited a local assisted living community to deliver our signature Bear Givers teddy bears to the residents and staff. The event included a Chanukah trivia game and then a craft project where they all created gorgeous tile Menorahs using bullet casings. This demonstrated the ultimate Chanukah theme, transforming the bullets that can be used for harm and represent darkness and negativity into a vehicle of light and kindness.  The highlight of the evening was giving out the teddy bears- which filled the room with joy!
