Northwell Medical Center

Bear Givers is happy to continue supporting Northwell Pediatric Medical Center with teddy bear donations. Our soft, cuddly teddy bears are given to kids undergoing surgical procedures. The kids awake in the “waking room”, and are met with their very own special bear! Often, the bear is used to encourage the children to drink their water or have a meal in exchange for the rewarding 🐻. The children’s bravery in undergoing these procedures is stunning, and we are excited to continue to support Northwell!

Pictured is Laura and Leslie, members of our Bear Giver team. It was their first hospital visit and they were ecstatic to be given a tour of the space and see the bears in action with Colleen, child life manager at Northwell.
