Teddy Bear Field Trip!

We accompanied the Lower Lab students on their District 2 visit, and a bus chartered by Bear Givers took us from each school to the next. It was heartwarming to witness the interaction between the students as they gave and received bears, sharing hugs and smiles, and conveying their appreciation through bilingual teachers who interpreted the messages and words of thanks. The students who were new to NYC expressed their gratitude, explaining that stuffed animals were what they missed most as a result of leaving their country.
