A ‘Bear-y’ Powerful Visit
The Leading with Kindness initiative was first implemented at MS Wagner 167. Students participate in a lesson about kindness and research different charitable organizations, followed by a class vote on where to donate the bears. So far, they have given teddy bears to children with disabilities, children fighting cancer and young asylum seekers. They were most recently given to Holocaust Survivors to acknowledge International Holocaust Remembrance Day. These visits provide huge benefits to the students and the recipients alike.
